To be able to implement management activities in accordance with their respective functions, then it takes some
expertise management (production management skills) required by any person engaged in the activities of the Organization, in particular the Organization of the business. These skills include the following:
- Technical expertise (technical skills), i.e., the skills required to perform specific jobs, such as operating a computer, designed the building, making the company's layout, and so on.
- Skill to communicate and interact with the Community (human relation skills), i.e. the expertise in understanding and doing the interaction with different kinds of people in the community. Among the examples of this expertise is expertise in negotiating, motivating, convincing people, and so on.
- Conceptual Expertise (conceptual skills) expertise, namely in thinking in the abstract, systematic, including diagnosing and analyzing various problems in different situations, even the expertise to predict the future.
- Expertise in decision-making (decision making skills) , i.e. the expertise to identify problems at once offers a range of alternative solutions to the problems encountered.
- Expertise in managing time (time management skills) , i.e. the expertise in utilizing time effectively and efficiently.
Some other skills currently also become expertise necessary in management or business management, especially if associated with global business competition. Among these skills are:
- Expertise in global management (global management skills) managerial expertise, i.e. that are not just focused on a specific country circumstances, but also cross-cultural even cross country.
- Expertise in it technology (technological skills) managerial expertise, namely in following and mastered a variety of technological developments that have occurred.
Overall the course management skills need to be owned by every business person if want to realize the purposes of his business. Especially if associated with an increasingly tight business competition and technological developments are extremely rapid, single-skill alone is not enough to win the competition.
